A sensational evening, over a hundred people watched TV Chef, Peter Vaughan give a demonstration of Nepalese cuisine and were served a fabulous three course Nepalese feast. Devizes Sports Club was transformed into a typical Himalayan Lodge restaurant bedecked with hundreds of prayer flags. Fiddington Hill Nurseries again supplied small trees and ferns giving a sense of the outdoors.
As guests arrived a silk skarf was placed around their neck - a traditional Nepalese gesture of welcome, they were able to enjoy cultural music and were later entertained by a Gurkhar Piper who played Nepalese bagpipes to herald the start of the first and main courses.
The food was authentic and delicious - the evening was a huge success.
Over £2500 was raised to help further the work of the Nestling Trust in Nepal.
